During the year 2009 the Chilean Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MINVU) created and guided a Working Commission on the Urban-Housing Deficit. Concepts, methodologies, measuring instruments and indicators have been revised and discussed in the context of the strategic objectives of the urban and housing policy of MINVU. The next step requires the establishment of regional working groups in order to produce reports about cities and regions. This brochure contains a briefing of the current project.
